Architectural Democracy and the Matadouro Project in Porto, Portugal

The working group or "Architectural Democracy (ArcDem)" was invited to visit the site of the old Matadouro, on the east side of the city of Porto, Portugal. The city of Porto is planning to make a long term investment in this area. It will turn this place of killing into one of creativity. The plan can be seen here.

We see this project as a potential one in order for ArcDem to apply its ideas of turning buildings into open sources of information.
