A visit to the World Music School Porto

Pedro Aibéo (Me), acting as the Chairman of the World Music School Helsinki, just visited Gonçalo Cruz at the home of the World Music School Porto (WMSPorto) and of the GaitaMaker.

WMSPorto is the first of several planned schools following the same model as of Helsinki. The first step is what we call as ambassadors, and this is the stage where Porto is at. This means the school is still building up the needed team to make the local folk dance events happen. Until this becomes true, Helsinki gives the local team full support.

In Porto this has been doable as a partnership with gaitamaker and with the long track record of Mr. Cruz in the defense and promotion of traditional music.
